Happy Thursday! One day closer to the weekend! During my visit to see my bestie in Washington, we did a lot of sightseeing. While driving around, we came across this beautiful river. We just had to get out and hike around. There were people in the river playing around and kayaking. Crazy, considering it was around 40 degrees out. 

How country is this view? My kind of heaven. Wish I could build a house right on this river. Drinking coffee every morning, looking at this view, sure wouldn't suck!

Today is Throwback Thursday! 1970s meets 2013. Fringe and tie-dye. Tie-dye never goes out of style. I love this top from Free People. It's really long, so perfect with leggings or jeans. Or rock it with a waist belt. It's come across my mind once or twice that I might be able to pull this off as a dress. What do you think?

It still feels like summer time in the Bay Area. 75 and sunny for as far out as you can see. It will be a while until I can pack up my summer clothes. I'm not complaining.

In Washington, fall is in full swing. The leaves are turning, the air is crisp, and I swear I can smell snow coming.

I love the idea of layering button up shirts together. This outfit, I paired a chambray top from J.Crew with a flannel shirt. It adds a touch of country, and a new play on button up shirts.

I love mixing different patterns and textures to tie an outfit together. This outfit, I mixed suede boots with a Herringbone vest from J.Crew. I own a lot of vests, I mean A LOT. I should probably name my blog "City Girl Meets Vests!" This particular vest is so versatile. You can dress it up or down, but is still a standout statement piece. The last six days I've been in Washington visiting my best friend. First stop of my trip was to this amazing pumpkin patch. We took her two kids to pick out pumpkins, play with goats, ride the tractor, and wander through the apple orchards. This place is 100% country.
